Étienne Brault wins the PGA of Québec Championship by staying strong in the final round at Club de Golf Grand-Mère
The second round of the Videotron Business PGA of Québec Championship came down to a close battle with several changes of leaders until Étienne Brault held the fort and finished strong.
He shot a round of 66 (3 birdies, 1 eagle and 1 bogey), 5 strokes better than his 71 from the day before. (total 137) which earned him a $1400 prize money !
"I haven't played much competitive golf this summer and I wanted to play here at Grand-Mère because I've heard so many good comments about the course. Also, I was considering these 2 rounds to prepare for the Q-School of the DP World Tour," said Brault proud to write his name on the trophy which is filled with renowned Québec players.
Greg Cuthill and Sonny Michaud finished second tied. (total 142) They both thought the same thing when they said that they were happy that Étienne made his putt on the 18th which has softened bitterness of their endgame.
