ELIGIBILITY

This tournament is open to all active members of the PGA of Québec Class A and apprentice.

 

The rule of first come, first served will be used for registration.

Here is how the players will be sorted in the brackets:

  • Players will be sorted geographically into 4 separate sections;
  • The rankings from 1 to 16 in each section will be given according to the 2022 SFL Ranking;
  • If the number of 64 is not reached, the players ranked 1st in each section will be given a bye and so on;
  • If the quota is equal to or less than 32 players, a bracket of 32 players will be used.

 

The PGA of Québec reserves the right to accept additional registrations after the deadline, but only if there is space available. Each of these cases will be evaluated by the General Manager (additional fees will apply).

 

 

REGISTRATION FEES

The registration fees for this competition is $175 per professional.

Each professional is guaranteed to play at least 2 matches.

 

 

RULES

  • Deadlines for matches in each round have been established and you must play each match by that deadline of each round;

 

  • Both players must agree on the location of the match and communicate the date and time of the match to Eric Couture at eric@pgaquebec.com. We suggest that you play this match at a neutral course;

 

  • If you are playing at a neutral course, please respect the PGA of Québec's courtesy round request policy and call your fellow professional to ask if he or she can accommodate you;

 

  • Distance reduction is mandatory for women (approximately 10% less of the total distance of the men's tees);

 

  • You will be able to enter your scores live on the Golf Genius application (the code to do so will be provided once the PGA receives your match confirmation email);

 

  • The winner of the match must communicate the result to the PGA of Québec and copy the opponent (ex: Élise Paiement wins 3&2 vs Eric Couture);

 

  • It is important to take a picture before, during or at the end of your match and include them in your result confirmation email;

 

  • In match play, players must agree on the rules. For any disputes that you cannot resolve, contact Jacques Sévigny 450-561-8850;

 

  • If your next opponent is known, you can play your match as soon as possible;

 

  • A loss in the first or second round (only for players who got a bye in the first round) will send you to the consolation draw;

 

 

DEADLINES FOR EACH ROUND

All matches must be completed by the deadline of each round. If a deadline is not met, the players in that match will automatically be both losers and neither player will advance to the next round.

 

The dates mentioned below are based on a field of 64 competitors:

CHAMPIONSHIP SECTION

  • Round 1: June 24th
  • Round 2: July 22
  • Round 3: August 12
  • Quarter-finals: September 2nd
  • Semi-finals and finals: to be played at Mount Bruno Country Club on September 14th

 

The dates mentioned below are based on a field of 32 competitors:

CONSOLATION SECTION

  • Round 1: July 22
  • Round 2: August 5
  • Quarter-final: August 26th
  • Semi-final: September 9th
  • The final will be played at Mount Bruno Country Club on September 14th

 

 

PURSE AND RANKING

The total purse for this competition will be determined after the registration deadline.

 

SFL Ranking: Points will be awarded for the individual professional ranking.

 

TOP 25: All professionals will receive points in the Top 25 Professional Development ranking.

 

 

REFUND POLICY

  • Before the registration deadline: if the PGA of Québec receives a written withdrawal (email), the registration fee will be fully refunded.
  • After the registration deadline: There are no refunds after the registration deadline.  The only situation where we can refund a player is if he/she suffers an injury that prevents him/her from taking part in the competition.
